In cultural traditions throughout the world, premonition dreams have long been accepted as real and significant. They were recorded on clay tablets by the ancient Babylonians and Assyrians, and were taken very seriously in classical Egypt, Greece, and Rome.
Modern research shows that premonitionn dreams are more common among women than among men. The future events usually involve people close to the dreamer.
The events foretold in premonition dreams may not occur until several weeks after the dream. It is believe that some dreamers even appear to keep to a regular schedule.
I was doing my research about this topic and I found a case that shocked me..
Barbara Garwell was a woman who consistently has premonition dreams, she claims that 21 days after she dreams about an event, it comes true. For example, she says that in September of 1981, she dreamed that a group of dignitaries from the middle East were assassinated while sitting in stadiun seats.
On October 6, twenty -one days after her dream, the President of Egypt, Anwar Sadat, was assassinated along with seven other people while watching a parade from stadium-like seats in Cairo....So, Imagine, that's what I read I don't know if it is true..
Premonition dreams have apparently evolved to suit modern cultures. In the past, one's ancestor might have been the source of a predition in a dream. Now, that role might be played by an electronic gadget.
One researcher who has classified premonition dreams has defined a " media announcement type" category. In this type of dream, the person sees information about a future event from some type of media, such as a newspaper, radio , or TV shows.
According to one study, dreams like this are particulary accurate.
Very few scientists, however, think dreams can truly predict the future. People from the other hand believe that it is illogical to think that, and therefore unscientific, to think thatm an effect (knowledge of an event) can appear before its cause ( the event).
Some skeptics say that so-called premonitions are really just inferences or educated guesses about what might happen. Other critics believe that any similarity between a dream and real life event in only a coincidence.
So....at the end......
What do you think???
Are dreams some kind of premonitions or not???

Good afternoon! first of all congratulate you on your post is very interesting because dreams represent many things that can become true, there is even a word called deja-vu, that you can play something you've lived or dreamed.
ResponderEliminardue to lack of imagination that is nowadays, perhaps dreams are not taken into account, it's a shame that people who are not able to let their imagination float can not take advantage of how nice it is to dream.
There is a saying: I dreamed, and the next day I married you xD
Blessings!
thanks Roger, that is why I picked this topic because is really interesting how dreams influenced people in the past...
ResponderEliminarBut let me tell you that even today we can see that some people are worried or are looking for the meaning of their dreams..
I forgot to mention that even in the bible you can find the influence of dreams... Jose was the one that had recieved the gift of explaining dreams meanings...!!
That is why i consider dreams are an important part of us may be not a a predition but it is been said that is the reflection of the things we want...
as the saying you wrote...
Hi!!!!! I totally agree with Roger you have chose an interesting topic, there are many doubts talking about dreams; many people believe they can know what a dream means but I have never trusted in this kind of people, I must say, most of the time they are inventing things in order to earn money and because there are many people whom go to them; in some places in our country is very common to see people trying to guess what is going to happen to you.
ResponderEliminarI have a really experience about people who think they know the future, near my house there is a church ¨let say¨ my aunt goes to this church, one day when she was in, a person told her Rosa you are going to be happy, … when she went out a man tried to kill her. I ask myself if this person knew the future why she didn’t tell to my aunt about this man. There are many people who enjoy lying to other people.
Having a good dream is really good for us because the next day you feel really happy; I rarely dream and when I do it, I usually dream bad things, and the next day I feel terrible.
Good entry Eli, the topic you chose is really interesting but I think is kind of hard to give a deeply explanation about it. It is so huge that I think nobody can understand perfectly.
GOD BLESSES YOU GUYS.
Hello Eli!
ResponderEliminarI really liked your topic, because it's like a mystery and that is something that I enjoy reading, researching, etc. I have read that many people have been saved from death by dreams that they have had the night before and also,I have had some dreams in which I see someone in a funeral and days later that person dies,I dont know why.
Another example from the Bible is that Poncio Pilato's wife dreamed about Jesus death. Congratulations Eli,good topic.
May God bless you!
Thanks guys for all your comments, also I wanted to add some ideas that came to my mind after reading your comments...
ResponderEliminarFirst, about what jacinto was saying, of people that try to tell you about your future. I trully believe that those ones just want to take advantage from you and probably your money, that's a big fraud!!..
Imagine what did they say to your aunt, and what was going to happen; they are just people that perhaps want to make you suffer, or they just take advantage from you, your inocence and your money...
Also what you said, I mean what you wrote, alma, is what most of the times people dream about, simple things like having a conversation with someone, or some situations that later on seem to become true..
If it is just a dream or a premonition I don't know, what I know is that we haven't develop our brain capacity in a 100%,,,So it will continue been a mistery....
Blessings for all of you...!!!
HI ALL,
ResponderEliminarI AM POSTING IN BEHALF OF CAROL. SHE HAS HAD SOME TROUBLES SUBMITTING HER PARTICIPATION.
hi Elizabeth!
sorry because I couldn't comment before but I read your post and I think is very interesting.
Let me say that sometimes dreams come true as my classmate Roger said before why I tell this, because more than one time have happened with me I don't know if is luck or coincidence but they come true eventhough some of them are bad and if you are lucky some of them are good.
As we know not all the people believe in it specially young people but I believe in them.
For example sometimes I dream with some things that I think that they have a meaning so I only let them know to my grandma and then she tells me something about it and most of the time it becomes true...
So the point is that all those dreams are believes and I believe in them, this is my comment and congratulations for your job!!!
